Student Services & Counselling

Student Services provides information and direction concerning educational, occupational,
post-secondary, personal and academic decisions. Students are seen on a self-referral basis; however administrators, teachers and parents may also make referrals. Counsellor appointments are suggested for both students and parents in order to minimize the amount of class time missed. Individual and family support is available to assist with personal issues, study skills, time management, peer relations and goal setting. Scholarship information and post-secondary events are updated and advertised on a regular basis. Students can obtain assistance in completing post-secondary applications and are given tools and resources for self-exploration of scholarship opportunities. Check out What's Happening.

Scholarship Competition: Helping students reach their dreams

The $500 eventIQ Graduation Scholarship is now open to all Grade 12 students in Western Canada and all students have to do to qualify is write a short story about how they’ve made graduation extra special. Here is the link to the scholarship application form

We want  a short story (250 words or less) about a students’ positive contribution to graduation at their school. We’re seeking inspirational stories, such as a student arriving for a grad committee meeting after having major surgery that morning; students coming up with creative ways to create excitement around grad; twins writing a grad song together. The more inspirational or different the better!  So if you think your school has the best grad experience, and you have been a part of it…apply here. Competition for the scholarship is going to be fierce, so students may want to do something unique by linking to a video, a song or poem. No matter what they choose to do, the application form needs to be complete so we can verify their story.

The deadline for applications is June 4th, 2012 so applications should be sent in ASAP (the winner will be notified by June 12th). Access the scholarship application form here.
